These terms govern your use of the Waggi mobile app, our website and online store at waggi.com, and the Waggi GPS tracker device (together, the "Service").

Waggi Connected Pets Limited (company number 622382, registered in Ireland) provides the Service. By creating an account, connecting a tracker, subscribing, or placing an order, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

Waggi combines a wearable GPS tracker with a mobile app for dogs and cats. Depending on your plan and device, the Service may include pet location tracking, Live Mode, virtual fences, walk recording, activity and sleep monitoring, wellness scores, pet profiles, a food portion calculator, push notifications, and customer support.

The tracker is intended for pets from around 4 kg upwards, attached to a suitable collar. Features that rely on cellular connectivity require an active subscription and adequate mobile network coverage.

Accounts

You must be at least 18 (or the age of legal majority where you live) to use Waggi. You must be the pet owner or have authority to register and monitor the pet.

To create an account you will need to provide accurate contact details and verify your identity (for example by email OTP). You may also sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook, subject to those providers' terms.

Keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend or close accounts with false or misleading information.

Tracker setup and use

You pair a Waggi tracker to your account over Bluetooth. Each tracker can only be actively registered to one account at a time. You must own the device or have permission to register it.

The app needs location, Bluetooth, camera/photos (for profile pictures), notifications, and internet access to work properly. On some phones the app runs a background service to stay connected to your tracker; you may see a persistent notification while this is active.

You are responsible for charging the device, attaching it safely to your pet's collar, and keeping firmware and app versions up to date. Factory reset erases device data and cannot be undone.

We are not liable for tracking failures caused by flat battery, poor signal, hardware damage, incorrect fitting, or outdated software.

Buying from our online store

When you order a Waggi tracker or accessories through our online store, your order is an offer to buy. We accept your order when we dispatch the goods and send you a shipping confirmation. Prices are shown in euro and include VAT where applicable; delivery costs and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

Right of withdrawal (EU/UK consumers). If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. To do so, contact michelle@waggi.com within that period and return the goods within 14 days of telling us. Unless the goods are faulty, you are responsible for the cost of return shipping, and we may reduce your refund for any diminished value caused by handling beyond what is needed to inspect the goods. We will refund you, including standard delivery costs, within 14 days of receiving the goods back or proof that you have sent them.

Faulty goods. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights if goods are faulty or not as described.

Cancelling a subscription is handled separately — see "Subscriptions and payments" below.

Subscriptions and payments

Continuous GPS tracking through the tracker's built-in SIM requires a paid Waggi subscription. Plan details and pricing are shown in the app before you buy.

Payments are handled by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges to your chosen payment method, including applicable taxes and any add-ons (such as optional device insurance). Apple Pay and Google Pay may be available through Stripe.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel in the app; service continues until the end of the current billing period and the app will show the cancellation date. Cancelling does not delete your account or refund amounts already charged.

If payment fails, your subscription may be marked past due and cellular features may be suspended until payment succeeds. Promotional codes are subject to their stated conditions.

Optional device insurance, where offered, is provided by a separate insurer. Coverage terms are shown at checkout. It is not a substitute for pet, home, or contents insurance.

Except where the law requires otherwise, fees are non-refundable, including for partial periods. EU/UK statutory consumer rights are unaffected. We may change prices or plan features on reasonable notice, effective from your next billing cycle.

Acceptable use

You must not use Waggi unlawfully, to harass or monitor anyone without authority, to interfere with the Service, to reverse-engineer the app or device, to bypass security, to upload infringing or offensive content, to resell the Service, or to register a tracker you are not entitled to use.

Your content

You may upload pet photos, profile details, walk names, and support messages. You keep ownership of what you submit, but grant Waggi a licence to store and use it to provide the Service. You confirm you have the right to upload that content and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Location, tracking, and alerts

GPS, cellular, and Bluetooth tracking depend on conditions we cannot control — signal strength, weather, buildings, battery, and network coverage. Location data may be delayed, approximate, or unavailable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted real-time tracking.

Virtual fence alerts are a convenience feature only. Do not rely on them as your only safeguard against a pet going missing.

Live Mode and walk tracking need active permissions, a connected tracker, and network access. Walk statistics are estimates and may not be exact.

Health and nutrition information

Activity, sleep, and wellness data in the app is for general information only. Waggi does not provide veterinary advice and does not diagnose or treat medical conditions. Speak to your vet if you are concerned about your pet's health.

The food portion calculator gives estimated feeding amounts based on the details you enter. It may not suit every animal — follow your vet's advice and the food manufacturer's guidance.

Waggi is not an emergency or search-and-rescue service.

Third-party services

The Service uses third parties including Google (maps, sign-in), Apple and Meta (sign-in), Stripe (payments), Shopify (online store), Firebase (notifications and crash reporting), AWS (hosting and device connectivity), and mobile operators. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services. Support articles are at support.waggi.com.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Intellectual property

Waggi owns the app, website, software, branding, and documentation. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service for private, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the Service without our written consent.

Updates

We may update the app, device firmware, or these terms. Some updates are required for security or continued use. Material changes to these terms will be notified through the app, website, or email where appropriate.

Account deletion

You can delete your account in the app. Your data, including pet profiles, photos, and statistics, will be permanently deleted within about 30 days and cannot be recovered. You will be logged out immediately. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — cancel billing separately first if needed.

We may retain limited records where the law requires it.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if we suspect fraud, if payment is overdue, if we stop offering the Service in your region, or if required by law. You may stop using Waggi at any time.

Liability

The Service and device are provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, availability, and fitness for purpose. We do not warrant that tracking will prevent loss or harm to your pet.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Waggi will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) €100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

You use tracking and wellness features at your own risk.

You agree to indemnify Waggi against claims arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these terms.

General

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any plan-specific terms at purchase, are the entire agreement between you and Waggi. If any provision is invalid, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent. We may transfer ours as part of a business sale. We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control. The English version of these terms prevails over any translation.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Disputes are subject to the courts of Ireland unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country say otherwise. EU/UK consumers may have access to alternative dispute resolution.
